Christmas Carol Concert
The Festival of 9 Lessons & Carols was held at the St Albans Protomartyr Church in Romford on Tuesday 18th December. The Frances Bardsley School for Girls sang superbly directed by the Head of Music, Michael Silk. All the favourite carols were sung. Worth a special mention is the Award winning mural on the ceiling of the Church, which depicts all landmarks in Romford. (It even has an HCCI white van). Coffee, Tea and Mince Pies were provided in the Church Hall after the service.
House of Commons Lunch
The much awaited visit to the House of Commons took place on Thursday 17th January. Guests gathered in the Terrace Bar and was welcomed by Angela Watkinson, MP for Upminster. A three course lunch was served by waiters with white gloves and was beautifully presented. A lovely one-off event organised in conjunction with the Redbridge Chamber of Commerce.
