Q: I have heard of Chambers of Commerce but do not really understand their purpose or what they do?
A: Chambers of Commerce and Industry are created by businesses to help each other and to make their local area a place where business thrives.
Q: Who owns the Chamber?
A: The Havering Chamber of Commerce & Industry is independent of government, owned and directed by its customers and democratically accountable to hundreds of businesses of all sizes and sectors throughout Havering.
Q: How much money does the Chamber make and where does it go?
A: We are a not-for-profit organisation - all monies raised through subscription and sales from ticketed events, is spent on practical day-to-day support services.
Q: What is HCCI's aim?
A: To promote our members' interests and expand their opportunities.
Q: It sounds impressive but what sort of effect is my joining going to have on my business?
A: A very positive one - all of our members find that their businesses have benefited from membership of HCCI.
